Stirling
Stirling is home to much of Scotland’s recent history. Although only granted city status in 2002, Stirling has previously been capital of Scotland and is home to the magnificent Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument and the fields of Bannockburn, where one of the world’s most famous battles was fought.

From Stirling Castle you can view several battlefields including the famous Bannockburn as well as other beautiful sights such as the Trossachs National Park and Ben Lomond.

Stirling lies in the heart of Scotland, perhaps this is why it has played such an important part in the history of this small but spectacular country
